The American Theater Wing recognised her efforts in 2012 and awarded her with the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award. During the pandemic Broadway Barks Across America was established virtually to help animals find forever homes across the country and in addition West End Woofs was created in the UK. Her ‘pet project’ Broadway Barks, co-founded with Mary Tyler Moore, is an annual, star-studded dog and cat adoption event that benefits shelter animals in the New York City area.
